Current or potential event owners
Possibly you own a trade exhibition and are considering development or disposal. You might be a trade association, independent owner/ organiser or simply someone who knows that an event has to change to meet the needs of its audience. Perhaps you think the return could be better or maybe you just have that feeling that it’s time to look around.
Or perhaps you have ideas for creating a new event and need to talk to somone who understands the financing and marketing issues around a new event launch.
You want initial conversations to be confidential and without any form of obligation.
You would benefit from an informal chat with Huddlestone.

Changing Trade Events
We will buy exhibitions, occasionally sell them and always look to develop them to realise the full potential of face to face contact across all B2B sectors.
Our understanding of the commercial aspects connected with exhibitions works with incisive marketing analysis to bring out the possibilities for any trade event. From that realistic basepoint we get creative to realise future value.
Visitors, exhibitors, trade press or contractor strategies are all part of creating an exhibition with that all important return on investment. We create value in all of those areas.
Huddlestone is interested in your exhibition.

Return on Investment
As much as exhibitions cry out for flair and excitement we all know that they have to make business sense to be sustainable.
Hard and realistic analysis needs to be carried out to be sure that the dynamics of the visitor and exhibitor markets add up to a successful event. Unfortunately it’s a basic so often missed.
The cost profiles around venues and contractors have to match too, sometimes resulting discussions benefiting from our particular style.
Trade Exhibitions are as much about business as they are about events. We deal in both.

Commercial and Creative
Huddlestone has strong practical management capabilities in three key areas leading to successful events. We understand markets and deploy creative marketing. We underpin profits by tight financial management and commercial negotiation. We use data to illuminate and direct our communications.
In these essential areas you’ll get the personal attention which comes from dealing with smaller creative organisers of trade exhibitions. We are especially keen to take an equity position where possible. 30 years of serial aquisitions could make us right for your event.
Its not always easy to find a mix of commercial reality and positive creatitvity. If you like friendly professionalism mixed with common sense and spiced with a sense of fun…. well, you just might take to working with us.

The national event for industrial woodworking
The Woodworking Machinery Suppliers Association has secured the future development of its Working with Wood exhibition by negotiating a sale of the event to organisers Huddlestone Ltd.
David Thompson-Rowlands, chairman of WMSA said "A successful event is constantly evolving and it’s time for Working with Wood to grow with the investment of expertise and capital Huddlestone can provide."
Huddlestone managing director John Smith-Bodden commented "The underlying strength of wood based manufacturing will always shine through. Wood is at the heart of an amazing range of products. The Working with Wood exhibition is highly relevant to a substantial amount of UK manufacturing industry".
With marketing of the W10 Working with Wood exhibition (NEC 3-6 October 2010) now well underway the move means an immediate increase to visitor marketing of the event. The new owners conclude that “Every business working with wood will benefit from the creation of such a significant 'must see' event in the UK.
